Jack Shepard aka the Nightingale is the antagonist of the Frequency movie released in 2000.

Jack is an NYPD detective and also the infamous Nightingale serial killer. In the past timeline, he'd only killed 3 nurses, but after John saved Frank it went up to 10. Present day John, witnesses the timeline change and the the death of his mother (who was now a nightingale victim). He contacts frank to inform him of the sudden timeline change. Frank proceeds to prevent the first alternate nightingale murder, but failing to catch the suspect. After receiving more news about the nightingales next target, frank proceeds to find the suspect, only to being discovered by Jack. Jack beats down frank and steals information from the wallet to frame frank for the nightingale murders. Unintentionally, he left his fingerprints on franks wallet. In the present timeline John visits the Shepperd's household to get more information on jack. He discovers that Mrs. Shepperd who has been alive in the previous timeline is now deceased. Her cause of death was murder. John has a few interactions with jack throughout the movie.
